[STDS-802-3-EPOC] Editors announce availability of P802.3bn Draft 1.3, comments due by Friday, 20 February 2015 AOE
Dear IEEE P802.3bn Task Force participants,
The Editors would like to announce the availability of the P802.3bn Draft 1.3. As was discussed at the November meeting of practicing a recirculation round, please limit comments to changed paragraphs and any additional text to fill holes, due by Friday, 20 February 2015 AOE. The review of Draft 1.4, expected to be authorized out of the March meeting, will hopefully be treated as a true recirculation round with comment responses due in 15 days from availability announcement, with comments permitted against changed or new text only.
The draft 1.3 files are available in the private area of the EPoC web site:
P802d3bn_d13.pdf<http://www.ieee802.org/3/bn/private/Drafts/P802d3bn_d13.pdf> is a clean file without markup. PLEASE COMMENT ONLY ON THIS FILE.
P802d3bn_d13_cmp.pdf<http://www.ieee802.org/3/bn/private/Drafts/P802d3bn_d13_cmp.pdf> is FrameMaker generated markup file showing additions and deletions compared to D1.2.
NOTE: Do Not Generate Comment Submission on the CMP file!! (comment only against the clean file). CMP files do not have the same page, line, figure, and table numbers as the clean file.
You may notice that the FrameMaker generated markup file shows some figures or equations as having changed that were not changed. For example in Clause 67 Figure 2 is marked as changing when, in fact, it was not changed, only the figure number changed. FrameMaker also does not always mark internal changes to table in an obvious manner. These are a known anomalies of FrameMaker with no known fix other than manually editing the generated file. In general, the Editors will not spend time correcting these anomalies.
If you have already downloaded the comment submission tool, simply use that, no need to download again. Otherwise, it is located at: http://www.ieee802.org/3/WG_tools/filemaker/index.html
Please ask the Editors directly or on the reflector for any help using the tool.
Access to the private area of the web site requires login and password credentials. Please do not forward credentials to anyone. Any member of the EPoC email reflector (using the EPoC username / password) or the 802.3 Working Group can have access (using the 802.3 WG maintenance private area username / password). For members of this stds-802-3-epoc email reflector: if you need access, please email me directly.
Yours truly,
Mark Laubach, Chair and Duane Remain, Chief Editor
