I just wanted to let
you know that today is my last day at JDSU. It's a friendly
departure. I have no immediate "landing place," and will choose one very
carefully. It's been a sometimes-agonizing pleasure defining new
generations of Ethernet links, and I thank you for all your contributions to
these difficult tasks. If you wondered why I ducked when subjects like
AdHoc Chair came up, it should make more sense now, but I continue
to support the efforts that I proposed last May. I plan to be out of
town during the July Plenary, so it's difficult to say where/when we'll
meet again, but probably somewhere/sometime. New email contact
below.
