[802.3BA] FW: [STDS-802-3] Agenda for joint IEEE 802.3/802.1 session in New Orleans

I am forwarding the following email that was previously sent out by David Law, IEEE 802.3WG Chair.  This email outlines the agenda for the joint IEEE 802.3 / 802.1 session on Monday, Jan 12 2009.

Subject: [STDS-802-3] Agenda for joint IEEE 802.3/802.1 session in New Orleans

Colleagues:

As already announced the joint IEEE 802.3/802.1 session will take place on
the afternoon of Monday 12th January 2009 during the Interim sessions 
week.
It will start at 1:00PM, the outline agenda is as follows:

Administration (5 mins)

IEEE P802.1Qbb Priority-based Flow Control update (10 mins)

IEEE 802.3 support for IEEE 1588/IEEE P802.1AS timestamp/sync (1 hour)

    Note that there will also be a meeting of the IEEE 802.3 Timestamp Ad 
    Hoc on Tuesday 13th January from 7:00PM to 10:00PM, that meeting will
    be focused on the preparation of the IEEE 802.3 Call for Interest
    material.

IEEE 802.1 Audio-Visual Bridging (2 hours)

   There are a number bridge implementations that are not compliant
   with IEEE Std 802.1Q or IEEE Std 802.1D. This impacts the ability
   of IEEE Std 802.1AB LLDP to perform AV bridging discovery. To
   address this the use of IEEE 802.3 Auto-negotiation is being proposed.
