[802.3BA] Use of "baud rate" in 802.3 docs
Just as observation:
I notice more than a few documents published by 802.3ba have the phrase "baud
rate" scattered throughout. I expect the same is true of the draft
specification.
The word "baud" actually means "symbol rate", so in 802.3 documents, the phrase
"baud rate" implies "symbol rate rate", which I suppose is some kind of bit
acceleration. I doubt that 'symbol rate rate' was intended, and if that is
accurate, you should simply use "baud", or if you prefer more precision,
"symbol rate".
