[802.3_MAINT] Fwd: [802.3_DIALOG] IEEE P802.3 (IEEE 802.3bx) Maintenance #11 (Revision) initial IEEE 802.3 Working Group ballot results

Colleagues,

The initial IEEE 802.3 Working Group ballot on the IEEE P802.3 (IEEE 802.3bx) Maintenance #11 (Revision) closed successfully on 11th December 2014. The results of the ballot are included in the forwarded message below.

Reports of the comments received, one sorted by clause and the other by comment ID, may be found at the following link.

The report includes the 78 comments received during the ballot and 5 comments received after the ballot closed. Comments received after the ballot closed are marked as "late" in the comment reports.

As announced during the November 2014 IEEE 802.3 closing plenary meeting, we have planned two ad hoc teleconferences to discuss proposed responses to ballot comments.

Dear Colleagues,

The initial IEEE 802.3 Working Group ballot on the Revision IEEE P802.3 (IEEE 802.3bx) Maintenance #11 (Revision) closed successfully on 11th December 2014. The ballot exceeded the required 75% for consensus to approve the draft. The January 2015 IEEE P802.3 (IEEE 802.3bx) Task Force interim meeting <http://www.ieee802.org/3/interims/index.html> will consider the 78 comments submitted and determine changes to the draft as appropriate. The availability of the comment database will be announced on the IEEE 802.3 Maintenance reflector <http://ieee802.org/3/maint/email/thrd1.html>.

The ballot statistics are:

    267 Voters
    121 Approve
      7 Disapprove
     32 Abstain
    160 Ballots returned

 59.93% Response Rate (> 50% required)
 20.00% Abstain Rate (< 30% required)
 94.53% Approval Rate (>= 75% required)
