We could do "Area of Required Operation"
But I don't like that as much.
Further, if you look in:
         http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aro
while there is nothing specifically interfering, it is not as clean an area 
into which you can drop a new meaning.

I believe that  "Area of Specified Operation" (ASO)
         - is a winner
         - is new and in clean territory
         - is far enough away from "Safe Operating Area" to not be a problem.
