Dirceau: & group A word of caution on this liaison letter. The source of this liaison (Rapporteur of Question 9) is NOT involved with the ITU-T SG15 group that has the charter for synchronization over transport. That is Question 13 which has the title "Network synchronization and time distribution performance". During the May meeting of Q 13, BT made a contribution for Timing over Ethernet with the PHY ("Transporting Synchronisation over Ethernet" which is D197 for those of you with an ITU-T password, and can be found at: http://www.itu.int/md/meetingdoc.asp?lang=e&type=mfolders&parent=T05-SG15-050516-D&PageLB=250). This proposal was not well received by the Q13 group however and has little chance of being included in the Draft G.pactiming document which is being generated by Q13. Richard Dirceu Cavendish wrote: I wish to bring to the group your attention on Ethernet clock synch initiative going on in ITU... Please see attached Liaison letter...
