[ECSG-802-OMNIRAN] OmniRAN EC SG extended until Nov 2013 - and 802.1 expressed interest in hosting the project when approved
Dear colleagues,
The EC closing meeting extended the OmniRAN EC SG without objections until the end of the November 2013 session for the creation of 5C and PAR. In addition, the chair of IEEE 802.1 expressed the interest of his group in hosting the project when approved.
Based on the high interest of 802.1 and the technical opens of our use cases, which we still have to investigate with 802.1 and 802.3, the next OmniRAN EC SG F2F meeting will take place during the interim F2F session of 802.1/802.3 on Sep 2-6, 2013 in York, UK.
I will clarify further details in the next days with the host of the session and provide you with an information package.
For planning purposes, please send me a message if you would like to attend the OmniRAN meetings in York. I intend to schedule OmniRAN only for a day during the week.
