[ECSG-802-OMNIRAN] FW: [802.1 - 10266] Fwd: May 2014 IEEE 802.1/802.3 Interim, Norfolk, Virginia

Dear colleagues,

We have not decided yet about the location of our May 2014 interim session, but one possibility would be to meet with 802.1/802.3 in Norfolk, Virginia.
BTW: The other option would be to meet with the wireless groups on Hawaii (Waikoloa Hilton).

The decision is on the proposed agenda of the F2F meeting in Beijing.

Bye
Max

Complete information about the May 2014 IEEE 802.1/802.3 Joint Interim
Meeting in Norfolk, VA, hosted by the Ethernet Alliance is available here:
http://tinyurl.com/May-2014

Attendees can navigate to the the Sheraton Norfolk Waterside hotel group
reservation page from the Interim webpage, and find discount codes for
flights on United and Delta. They will also find links to contact Lynn
Kennedy, meeting planner for the Ethernet Alliance, for visa letters or
assistance with registration.

Located on the Elizabeth River, near the mouth of Chesapeake Bay (dubbed
the "Hampton Roads") and the Atlantic Ocean, Norfolk is home to the world's
largest naval base. This vibrant city was established in 1682 and is close
to tourist destinations including Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia Beach,
and barrier islands including Chincoteague and Assateague.

The weather should be pleasant (average temperatures in May are: high
75F/24C, low 58F/14C), and we hope the affordable group hotel room rate
($149) and early registration meeting fee ($300) will make it easier for
more people to participate in the standards process.

Thank you very much for your assistance,
Lynn Kennedy
Meeting Planner for Ethernet Alliance
