[802-LMSC] Transfer of IEEE 802.3 Category C liaison membership of IEC TC 64/PT 60364-7-716 to IEC TC 64/MT 49
Dear IEEE 802 LMSC members,
The IEEE 802.3 Working Group has had Category C liaison membership of IEC TC 64/PT 60364-7-716. IEC TC 64/PT 60364-7-716 recently completed the development of IEC 60364-7-716:2023 Ed 1, Low-voltage electrical installations - Part 7-716: Requirements for special installations or locations - ELV DC power distribution over information and communications technology (ICT) cable infrastructure, which encompasses Power over Ethernet.
Further to item 4.01 on the 4 February 2025 IEEE 802 LMSC teleconference agenda, this email is to inform the IEEE 802 LMSC that, at their December 2024 plenary meeting, IEC TC 64 decided to start maintenance of IEC 60364-7-716:2023 ED1 and converted IEC TC 64/PT 60364-7-716 into IEC TC 64/MT 49 ELV DC power distribution over information and communications technology (ICT) cable infrastructure. As a result, the existing IEEE 802.3 Category C Liaison membership of the IEC TC 64/PT 60364-7-716 project team has been transferred to a Category C Liaison membership of the new IEC TC 64/MT 49 maintenance team.
