Re: [802-LMSC] Conditions Met for LMSC Conditional Approval to Start SA Balloting of P802.15.4ab-D04

Hello Clint,

Since there were a number of comments submitted in the last ballot from disapprove voters, are you saying that these are all old issues? If they are new issues and not resolved to the satisfaction of the commenter, then an unchanged recirc would be required. I count around 40 technical comments that are in-scope and based on the resolutions. If these are old issues then how they fall into that category should be documented in the resolutions.

There are 28 comments rejected with a resolution "Group failed to reach consensus to make a change to the draft". It is good practice to document the consensus building process in the resolution, for example, summarize the nature of the discussion, the voting result and when the voting took place.

The resolution to comments 4 and 41 is "Group thinks this is an editorial matter, draft will be professionally edited prior to publication" (reclassifying a technical comment as editorial). It is hard for me to see this as an editorial (the comment identifies a 75% overlap as being in error and suggests it should be 25%). If it is editorial, how the group arrived at that conclusion deserves some explanation.

The resolution to comment 106 ("PICs are an informative annex") is not responsive to the comment ("PICS is missing a lot of entries"). This would also presumably be one of the old issues (a reference to previous resolution would be useful).

Regards,
-Robert
