Jim, this note is to report that the recirculation
ballot for 802.5v (Gigabit Token Ring) has successfully completed with no new
DisApprovals. The final vote was:
40 members of a properly balanced voting
pool
39 cast ballots
33 Affirmative
2 Negative
4 Abstain
97% returned votes, 10% Abstained, 94%
of the Yes/No votes were affirmative.
In addition, every effort was made to accommodate
the negative ballots. No correspondence was received from the negative
balloters indicating whether or not those efforts were successful. It is
the belief of the IEEE 802.5 Ballot Resolution Group that all negative comments
were accommodated successfully.
Wtih the successful close of the recirculation
ballot, please forward 802.5v to the Standards Board for Approval.
