Dear SEC, Vic Hayes is nominating Carl Stevenson for the IEEE-SA International Award and Vic is seeking an endorsement from IEEE 802. I think Carl is well deserving of an endorsement from 802. The nomination form is attached for your review. I fully support Vic's request, but I don't have time to prepare the endorsement letter. I have asked Vic to prepare draft text for an endorsement letter, but I'm not sure he will have time to supply by tomorrow's meeting. If another SEC member can prepare a letter and make a motion to approve the endorsement letter at tomorrow's SEC meeting, it would be much appreciated. If we cannot pull together an endorsement letter by tomorrow, I will ask for an email ballot on the same topic when the endorsement letter is completed before the May 15 deadline. --Paul ----- Original Message ----- From: "Hayes, Vic (Vic)" <vichayes@agere.com> To: "Paul Nikolich" <p.nikolich@ieee.org> Sent: Thursday, March 06, 2003 10:35 AM Subject: RE: [802SEC] Fw: International Award - Call for Nomination > Paul, > > To keep you informed: > > I have the second version of the draft attached.
