Dear EC, There has been further discussion in the RR-TAG in regards to this PDNR. 1) There is agreement that 802 should provide edits to the WP1A PDNR in order to improve it and to provide data on the use of wireless technologies in the SG. 2) Initial edits to the WP1A PDNR need to be completed by the close of the 802 March Plenary meeting. That would mean that the wireless WGs need to be bring proposals to the March Plenary. 3) Contact with the US NTIA person who leads the US preparation/participation in WP1A was positive. He felt it would be good if 802 provided data to ITU-R WP1A regarding the use of wireless technologies in the SG. He acknowledged that the current draft is "one side" and hoped that contributions will be made to solve that. Attached is another item that WP1A is considering. It is a question that will require studies of the impact of the use of wireless or PLT by SG on other users of radio spectrum. The question is on "hold" until the completion of the work that ITU-T is doing in their Focus Group Smart.
