[802SEC] IEEE 802 Contribution to ITU-R WP1A regarding Question ITU-R 236/1

Dear RR-TAG and EC.

Please find enclosed the official ITU-R version of our contribution to WP1A on Question 236/1. We would seem to have "friends" there even if IEEE 802 itself will not have a representative at the meeting. Among those with a high level of interest in this question is the broadcasting community.

I have asked that IEEE 802 be included in any correspondence group that is formed to address Question 236/1. When I contacted some of our friends I also made the point that this is simply IEEE 802's first contribution on this topic. Future contributions should include both wireless and wired 802 technologies.
