James,

- I find the use of "SG TAG" potentially confusing to some who are familiar with IEEE 802, but not necessarily involved in this effort. I would suggest using "Smart Grid TAG."
- Please add URL to 802.1 WG
- As the chart of the group it to be a first point of contact for an array of smart grid constituencies - it would seem that the specification of which groups are "among the IEEE 802 WGs taking part" is really just at this time, and unnecessary. I would
suggest removing the first sentence of the third paragraph, and rework it into the next sentence and then point to the WGs in 802 on www.ieee802.org.
- Given the breadth of what is going on here - can't we get a quote from a non-IEEE related individual? An analyst of some sort? I would suggest talking to Interprose - or I can look within my industry contacts to get back to you with a recommendation.
John

Subject: [802SEC] Proposed press release for formation of 802.24
All
I pre-circulating another press release, this one to announce the formation of 802.24. I am planning on a 6 day preliminary review and will ask for an early close EC email ballot beginning early next week.
If you are a WG chair, check the text to make sure that the name of your WG is correctly described. Also check to make sure that your WG has not been inadvertently left our (or has been inadvertently included).
Thanks
James Gilb
802.24 TAG Chair
