[802SEC] P802.11ah has met the terms of its conditional approval.



Dear IEEE 802 EC members,

 

The last recirculation ballot on P802.11ah D5.0 completed with no negative votes and no MBS comments.

One invalid comment was received attached to a “yes” vote.  This comment was subsequently withdrawn by the commenter.

 

 

P802.11ah has met the conditions of the approval thus:

Conditions:

a) Recirculation ballot is completed. Generally, the recirculation ballot and resolution

should occur in accordance with the schedule presented at the time of conditional

approval.

The recirculation completed according to the schedule presented.

 

 

b) After resolution of the recirculation ballot is completed, the approval percentage is at

least 75% and there are no new valid DISAPPROVE votes.

The project has 98% approval.  There were no new no votes.

 

c) No technical changes, as determined by the WG Chair, were made as a result of the

recirculation ballot.

No changes were made.

 

 

d) No new valid DISAPPROVE comments on new issues that are not resolved to the

satisfaction of the submitter from existing DISAPPROVE voters.

No disapprove comments were received.

 

 

e) If the WG Chair determines that there is a new invalid DISAPPROVE comment or vote,

the WG Chair shall promptly provide details to the Sponsor.

No disapprove comments were received.

 

 

f) The WG Chair shall immediately report the results of the ballot to the Sponsor including:

the date the ballot closed, vote tally and comments associated with any remaining

disapproves (valid and invalid), the WG responses and the rationale for ruling any vote

invalid.

There was 1 comment from a “yes” voter.  The commenter subsequent to the end of the ballot sent me an email that

he wishes to withdraw the comment.

The comment was also invalid,  because it was a “pile on” on to comments exclusively from “yes” voters.

 

 

Having met the terms of the conditional approval,  P802.11ah will proceed to sponsor ballot asap.
