Hi Geoff,
Thank you for the suggestions. I've attached an updated draft which I
hope captures your suggested changes correctly, along with a couple of
changes staff requested to the contact information.
Best regards,
David

press release
David-
I would like to reword paragraph #2 which currently reads:
"Mainstream adoption of emerging in-car applications such as
advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and infotainment has created
the need for cost-effective, high-bandwidth connectivity. IEEE Std
802.3bw-2015 100BASE-T1 will provide 100 Mb/s Ethernet over a single
twisted-pair and is intended to enable the consolidation of these new, as
well as legacy, in-car applications on a homogenous network
architecture."
To something more like:
"Mainstream adoption of emerging in-car applications such as
advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and infotainment has created
the need for cost-effective, high-bandwidth connectivity.
Ethernet fills that need.
The first of several Ethernet standards especially tuned to the needs of
the in-car automotive market, IEEE Std 802.3bw-2015 100BASE-T1 will
provide 100 Mb/s Ethernet over a single twisted-pair.
It is intended to enable the consolidation of these new, as well as
legacy, in-car applications on a homogenous network
architecture."
(Feel free to remove the extra carriage returns. They were only
added for ease of comparison.)
I think that moving the brand "Ethernet" up in the paragraph
and letting folks know that this is only the first of a series of
releases is a worthwhile addition.
I hope this helps.
Best regards,
Geoff
