Roger, I do not believe that if we made that suggested change it would be accurate. That would indicate that the list of bullet items in the press release apply to the revision and not the original 2014 standards, which would be
incorrect. I had an email discussion with some of the engineers who worked on the revision as well as the original standard, and they agreed it would be inaccurate to make that change. This revision incorporates the 802.19.1a amendment. We had a press release on the amendment in 2017. The engineers who worked on the revision believe it is a good idea to have a press release now for the 2018 version of
the standard, so I think it make sense to go with the version I emailed out a few days ago. Regards, Steve From: Roger Marks <r.b.marks@ieee.org> Steve, I think it would be better to have a reference to the prior standard (before revision) and list the changes in the revision. Would it be accurate to make the following replacement?: The standard introduces the following: => The revision introduces the following new features compared to the prior revision, IEEE 802.19.1-2014: If so, then I think it would address my concern and improve the announcement.
