In accordance with 4.1.2 on Voting rules of the IEEE project 802 LAN/MAN Standards Committee (LMSC) Operations Manual this ballot is closed.

Please see below for the results of the ballot, and per 7.2.1 for the results, the “Motion passes”.

Dear LMSC Members,

With this email I would like to announce the start of an LMSC(EC) Early Close ballot on comments to the ACMA (Australia) in response to their consultation asking the public what compliance priorities they should consider for activities in 2020 and 2021.  The deadline for comments there is 05 Dec.

Paul has delegated to me to conduct a LMSC(EC) Early Close 10-day electronic ballot on the motion below to approve the comments and sent to the ACMA.  This EC motion is per IEEE 802 OM 7.2.1 Procedure, P&P 7.1 b) (majority response) and P&P 7.1.2 (2/3 approval of votes cast) for communication with government bodies and public statements.  With that we would like to see everyone respond.

Motion: Move to approve the comments in https://mentor.ieee.org/802.18/dcn/19/18-19-0149-02-0000-acma-ifc-36-2019-ieee-802-comments-compliance-priorities-20-21.docx to ACMA’s IFC 36/2019 compliance priorities consultation. With the chair of 802.18 to have editorial privileges and send to ACMA on or before 04 December 2019.

Approved in the RR-TAG: 5 / 0 / 0

Mover:     Jay Holcomb

Seconder:  Steve Shellhammer

Start of ballot: 25 November 2019

Close of ballot: 05 December 2019 (need to send by the 4th, to meet their deadline)

Early close: As required in subclause 4.1.2 'Voting rules' of the IEEE 802 LAN/MAN Standards Committee (LMSC) Operations Manual, this is notice that, to ensure the release is provided in a timely manner, this ballot may close early once sufficient responses are received to clearly decide a matter. Sufficient responses to clearly decide this matter will be based on the required majority for a motion under subclause 7.1.1 'Actions requiring approval by a majority vote' item (h), 'Other motions brought to the floor by members (when deemed in order by the Sponsor Chair)' of the IEEE 802 LAN/MAN Standards Committee (LMSC) Policies and Procedures.

one editorial edit I will make is the ACMA is using a different consultation upload link here from other consultations, I will correct that on the upper 1st page.
