Re: [802SEC] Opening treasurer's report uploaded

George,

So you meant two weeks prior to the _next_  plenary?

That is, assuming this is implemented for the July plenary, WG chairs would implement before the November plenary?

Cheers,

Glenn.

Steve - I can explain more tomorrow, but the rules in 5.4 specify 60 says after the meeting before a person who hasn’t paid is penalized. The only reason I mentioned the two weeks prior to the next meeting is to try to give some clarity to the chairs. I received some (offline) questions what load would be on wg secretaries, and since Jon and I will be implementing that the process, the only loads I see on the wg are getting lists to us, and implementing the removal from their membership lists - which needs to happen before the next plenary. As I result, I was looking at the calendar and knowing that everything backs up, I was trying to put some bounds on us (Jon and me) to get the feedback in a timely fashion, as well as give an expectation to wg secretaries.

Hope that helps. I’m probably overthinking it.

George,

Thanks for the Treasurer’s report.  I am fine with a fee for the Electronic Plenary Session.  I support following the current “deadbeat” rules.

I was unsure about the deadline for paying, since we normally have multiple deadlines, but that may not make sense for an Electronic Plenary Session.

I saw on Slide 9 that it says “Executive Secretary & Treasurer to implement as per 5.4 of the LMSC Operations Manual and provide lists of noncompliant individuals to WG chairs at least 2 weeks prior to the start of the July plenary”

I am not sure I understand that.  Are we saying an individual has to pay two weeks before the meeting or they are noncompliant?

Can you elaborate?   You can of course explain it during tomorrows EC meeting.

Thanks,

Steve
