Thanks Edward – those things were added in and are part of the IEEE-SA’s formatting – I’ll get them to fix the (plurality) of “author” and figure out why they’ve got them in both places….
As to Roger’s suggestion, in the text, I actually was referring the ‘the noise environment’ (the characterization of the noise) vs. ‘the noisy environment’ (an environment which is noisy).
There’s also a couple of side comments I have which is to replace the reference to ‘call for interest in 2021…’ by rephrasing to ‘began an activity to start considering the next phase of long-reach single pair Ethernet in 2021. ‘, and to
fix two places where the 10BASE is written 10Base (something “autocorrect”, “auto-defect’s” all the time to me…)
