Re: [802SEC] WG15 PAR for Consideration on the Upcoming 2022 July EC agenda

Hello Clint,

Thanks and I do not mean to duplicate simply  "IEEE Std 802.15.4w, IEEE Std 802.15.4y, IEEE Std 802.15.4z, IEEE Std 802.15.4aa" in Section 8.1.

Following an example (802.11 PAR: https://development.standards.ieee.org/myproject-web/app#viewpar/12438/8958), I mean to spell out the full name of these standards in Section 8.1.  For example,

IEEE 802.15.4w-2020: IEEE Standard for Low-Rate Wireless Networks--Amendment 2: Low Power Wide Area Network (LPWAN) Extension to the Low-Energy Critical Infrastructure Monitoring (LECIM) Physical Layer (PHY)

Edward,

Thank you for the comment. However, it would seem redundant to add the information that is germane to the project and already stated twice in Section 5.5 to Section 8.1 as well, where as the extra information currently provided in Section 8.1 is for the amendment currently being worked on and not anticipating completion until after the revision Project.

Dear Clint,

For your consideration, it would be great if you would put the full names of the approved standards (IEEE Std 802.15.4w, IEEE Std 802.15.4y, IEEE Std 802.15.4z, IEEE Std 802.15.4aa) to Section 8.1 too.

Edward

EC members,
Per IEEE 802 LMSC Operations Manual, v23, Section 9.2, I request that the
802.15 PAR document below be considered on the 2022 July EC agenda. This
notification is in advance of the 30-day deadline for submission.

P802.15.4: Revision: Rolling up the 802.15.4w, 802.15.4y, 802.15.4z and
802.15.4aa Amendments

WG15 approved the PAR in the May meeting during the WG15 Closing Plenary
with a successfully passing vote of 31/0/0 (Yes/No/Abstain).

Since the next opportunity for consideration/review by NesCom is during the
Sept. SASB meeting series, the request to be put on that agenda will be made
after the approval by the EC.

Please let me know of any questions.

Clint
