Dear IEEE 802 EC members,
At the 15 July 2022 IEEE 802 closing plenary meeting, conditional approval was granted to submit IEEE P802.3cz Multi-Gigabit Optical Automotive Ethernet to Standards Association ballot. Details are provided in the attached report, but in summary the response to the IEEE 802 LMSC Operations Manual Clause 12 'Procedure for conditional approval to forward a draft standard' items are as follows:
a) The recirculation balloting is complete. The
second and third recirculation ballot occurred
generally in accordance with the plan presented.
b) The approval rate is 98%, and no comments were
submitted during the third recirculation
ballot.
c) No changes have been made.
d) There are no new DISAPPROVE votes or comments.
e) There are no new DISAPPROVE votes or comments.
f) Please see the attached for the date the ballot
closed and the vote tally.
Based on the above, I will progress IEEE P802.3cz to the Standards Association ballot.
