Clint, The explanation below was rather confusing, but the link to the presentation highlights a different issue The original motion requested for the consent agenda was Approve sending IEEE P802.15.3-RevB-D4 to Standards Association ballot. Confirm the CSD for P802.15.3-RevB in https://mentor.ieee.org/802.15/dcn/21/15-21-0477-04-03ma-draft-csd-15-3ma.docx It appears that after your initial request there was an update to the CSD file - The WG motion on Page 11 approves the following – WG 802.15 has reviewed and approves the CSD 15-21-0477-04-03ma-draft-csd-15-3ma.docx, and the CA document 15-22-0462-05-03ma- coexistence-assurance.doc; and requests unconditional approval from the EC to submit P802-15-3-Rev B-D4.pdf to Standards Association ballot. However, you have now updated the motion to the EC in the presentation - Motion: Approve sending IEEE P802.15.3-RevB-D4 to Standards Association ballot. Confirm the CSD for P802.15.3-RevB in https://mentor.ieee.org/802-ec/dcn/21/ec-21-0307-00-ACSD-p802-15-3ma.docx There is no linkage between the WG approved document and the document noted in the motion to the EC. It does not appear that the WG confirmed the document that you are now requesting the EC approve. If I am missing something please advise. John From: Clint Powell <clintonpowell@ymail.com> On Behalf Of Clint Powell John, Yes, thank you for the correction w.r.t. the link in the supporting document which has been updated in both r2 of the same and below: The ma is an internal .15 nomenclature that is used referring to maintenance revision a. However, only after the project was started it was realized that we should have been using mb internally as this is the second revision (i.e. revision B) to the initial IEEE Std 802.15.3-2003. In the PAR it is officially referred to as Revision to IEEE Standard 802.15.3-2016. The title on the 1st page of draft revision doc is IEEE P802.15.3-Rev.B/D4.0, aligning with the internal .15 nomenclature and the name at the top of the 1st page contains both this and the name under which it will be published: Internal .15 name for this specific version of the draft: IEEE P802.15.3-Rev.B/D4.0, January 2023 Official name when published: (Revision of IEEE Std 802.15.3-2016) So, yes it can be confusing, and hopefully this helps to make some sense of it all. However, I am somewhat confused looking at the CSD files – there is one for 802.15.3 (see https://mentor.ieee.org/802-ec/dcn/16/ec-16-0048-00-ACSD-802-15-3.docx) and the one for 802.15.3ma noted above. However, your motion refers to a draft for 802.15.3 not .15.3.ma. I am requesting that this motion be removed from the consent agenda. Please address the situation I note above.
