Dear IEEE 802 LMSC members,
At the 17 March 2023 IEEE 802 closing plenary meeting, conditional approval was granted to submit IEEE P802.3cy Greater than 10 Gb/s Electrical Automotive Ethernet to RevCom. Details are provided in the attached report, but in summary the response to the IEEE 802 LMSC Operations Manual Clause 12 'Procedure for conditional approval to forward a draft standard' items are as follows:
a) The recirculation balloting is complete. The
second recirculation ballot occurred generally
in accordance with the plan presented. The
third recirculation was not required.
b) The approval rate is 100%. Two editorial comments
were received during the most recent recirculation
ballot that the submitter noted in the comments
were 'Out of Scope comment on unchanged text'.
These two comments were rejected and will be
forwarded to the publication editor for
consideration during publication editing.
c) No changes have been made.
d) There are no DISAPPROVE votes.
e) There are no new DISAPPROVE votes.
f) Please see the attached for the date the ballot
closed and the vote tally.
Based on the above, I will go ahead and submit IEEE P802.3cy to RevCom.
