Dear EC members,
I would like to request the review of the following draft IEEE 802 LMSC submission by Wednesday, 10 July 2024, A.O.E, before asking the EC to consider approval of the submission tentatively at the IEEE 802 LMSC Opening Plenary on 15 July 2024.
Recently, the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) began a consultation “Planning options in the upper 6 GHz band”, which asks for public opinions on the way forward in utilizing this frequency band for different access technologies, including IEEE 802.11-based Wi-Fi technologies.
A few individuals, who are active in both IEEE 802.11 and 802.18, prepared a response that responded to all of the questions and reiterated the positions of our submissions to a few previous consultations .The submission was reviewed and approved by IEEE 802.18 on 27 June 2024 with the following voting results: 9 Yes, 0 No, 0 Abstain.
