[802SEC] PAR withdrawal under 48 hour rule

The 802.1 WG will be submitting a PAR withdrawal for P802.1Qdd under IEEE 802 LMSC Operations Manual subclause 9.2 'IEEE 802 LMSC approval' <https://mentor.ieee.org/802-ec/dcn/17/ec-17-0090-26-0PNP-ieee-802-lmsc-operations-manual.pdf#page=19> 'Expedited Review process' (48-hour rule).

 

P802.1DD, that was submitted for PAR review under the normal process, will replace P802.1Qdd.  The existing P802.1Qdd draft (formatted as an amendment to 802.1Q) will be used as the baseline for P802.1DD (formatted as a stand alone standard).

 

The P802.1Qdd PAR withdrawal detail is:

 

  • Reason for the withdrawal:
    • Other
  • Explanation for withdrawal:
    • The project is being replaced by a project (IEEE P802.1DD) for a stand-alone standard instead of an amendment to IEEE Std 802.1Q.

 

This will be included in my consent agenda items (in another message).
