Edward – thank you for the opportunity to review. It appears our one comment is on the reference to ETSI EN 302 500-1 being no longer necessary, because it has been incorporated into ETSI EN 302 065-2. When
I check ETSI EN 302 500-1, version 1.2.1 (2008-06) lists as status of “published”

(or current if you are looking at other sources), which surprised me.
Further, I note that the title of ETSI EN 302 065-2 in footnote 6 uses the word “essential requirements of article 3.2” – which makes me suspicious that it may be a little different (I didn’t see that in
500-1’s title). Since this is not OUR standard, I think we could use a little external support here.
For example, is there a reference we can site on this, or is there some specific subset of the requirements of 500-1 that TRA is concerned with that we know to be in 065-1?

Dear EC members,
I would like to request the review of the following draft IEEE 802 LMSC submission by Monday, 2 September 2024, A.O.E, before asking the EC to consider approval of the submission in its upcoming monthly teleconference call.
Recently, the Oman Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) began a consultation on an updated UWB regulation, which asks for public opinions on the updates the administration prepared in accordance with ECC Decision (06)04and the ETSI EN 302 065 series
of standards.
A few individuals, who are active in IEEE 802.11 and 802.15, prepared a response that not only applauds the admin's decision but also proposes an item to remove an outdated reference. The submission was reviewed and approved by IEEE 802.18 on 29 August 2024
with the following voting results: 5 Yes, 0 No, 1 Abstain.

Recently, the Radio Advisory Board of Canada (RABC) began a consultation on an updated radio standards specification, RSS-248, Issue 3 “Radio Local Area Network (RLAN) Devices Operating in the 5925-7125 MHz Band, which asks for public opinions on the proposed
category of very low power device and its technical requirements.
A few individuals, who are active in IEEE 802.11 and 802.18, prepared a response that not only applauds the admin's decision but also proposes a couple of items. The submission was reviewed and approved by IEEE 802.18 on 22 August 2024 with the following voting
results: 10 Yes, 0 No, 3 Abstain.
