stds-802-16: Published: Invitation to Contribute for 802.16.1 MAC at Session #8





At Session #7, 802.16.1 made the near-unanimous decision to remove 
from consideration the two invited MAC proposals presented at Session 
#7 and instead invite the contributors of those two proposals to 
submit a _joint_ proposal for the 802.16.1 MAC in time for 
consideration at Session #8 (10-14 July in La Jolla, CA, USA).

This decision was based on discussions held during Session #7. It is 
apparent that both contributing groups are enthusiastic about the 
decision. Congratulations to both teams!
