[STDS-802-16] Questions about the format of MBS_MAP message
Hi,
I have two questions about the format of MBS_MAP message:
(1) MBS_MAP Type field has only 2-bit, but in Table 109r MBS_MAP_Type, there are 255 passible MBS_MAP_Type. I cannot find any comment on this issue in maintenance commentary data base. Any comment on this issue?
(2) According to 6.3.2.3.57 Multicast Broadcast Service Map message, it states that when a MBS_MAP is sent, the connections need be described in the DL-MAP, but a MBS_MAP_IE() shall be substituted instead. However, in Table 286a Multicast and Broadcast Service MAP IE (DL_MAP extended-2 IE), in the case of Macro diversity enhanced = 1, CID information is not present. Thus, what CID value should be carried in MAC header of MBS_MAP message in this case? IMO, it is more reasonable to use 0xFFFF for PDU type filtering.
