IEEE 802.16 Session #56

IEEE 802.16's Session #56 will be held 14-17 July 2008 at the Hyatt Regency Denver in Denver, CO, USA (see map.wirelessman.org). This will be an IEEE 802 LMSC Plenary Session and co-located with sessions of the other IEEE 802 Working Groups and Technical Advisory Groups.

Meeting Schedule
The draft meeting schedule is available in advance. The Opening Plenary starts at 1 PM on Monday. The Closing Plenary is scheduled for Thursday evening from 7-10 pm.

Airport Transportion

The Working Group Chair recommends the RTD skyRide public bus (more like a "coach"). Convenient, frequent, inexpensive, and the driver will handle your luggage. You will need $9 in cash (no change available). Take the AF bus to the Market Street Station stop (see the W-Bound [West-bound] schedule). The ride takes about an hour. From Market Street Station, the free Mall-Ride shuttle (which runs along 16th Street) to California Street, turn right, and walk south one block. You should look at a map. Note: The meeting is NOT at the Grand Hyatt Denver, which is a few blocks North.

The US-based organization ANSI has published a guidebook entitled United States Visa System: Information for Experts from the People's Republic of China Attending Meetings of the ISO and IEC Held in the United States. Though the title refers only to China and ISO/IEC, the content appears useful to IEEE participants also, and to nationals from various countries. It may provide useful guidance to increase the liklihood of a timely visa application.
