Re: [802.19] Meeting with 802.11

Hi, Steve,

Speaking for me personally, Tuesday AM2 is preferred as my travel arrangement may not get me into Atlanta in time for the Monday PM1 slot.   I am wondering if in this case you can add a time slot on Tuesday PM2.

I think that 1 time slot should be enough to discuss other PARs (we only have two of direct relevance - the 802.11 TVWS and the 802.22), but having 2 slots would be safer.

Thanks,

Alex

All,

I was speaking with Bruce Kraemer this morning about the Atlanta meeting.

IEEE 802.11 has scheduled two time slots to review PARs from other groups.  The two time slots that they have scheduled for this purpose are,

·         Monday PM1

·         Tuesday AM2

I asked if it made sense for members of 802.19 and the TVWS Coexistence SG to attend one of those meeting when they discuss our PAR so we can answer  questions and understand any of their concerns.  Bruce said that was a good idea and we would be welcome to attend.

So I would like to determine with the TVWS Coexistence SG which of these times is best for us so we can request that our PAR be discussed during the time that works best.

Currently the SG has no meetings scheduled on Monday.  We have two meetings scheduled on Tuesday, AM2 and PM1.  So we have two options for meeting with 802.11

·         Monday PM1 – This does not conflict with a SG meeting

·         Tuesday AM2 – This overlaps with one of the SG meetings.  We would have to drop our meeting and go to 802.11.  That might work out okay since people have planned to participate at that time.  It would leave us one time-slot on Tuesday to comment on other groups PARs

I would like to hear from TVWS Coexistence SG members which of these two time slots works best.  Once I get some feedback I will send in a request to Bruce on the schedule.

Please send me your comments.

Thanks,

Steve
