[STDS-802-11-REG] EN 300 328, version 1.9.1

Hi all,

because of the discussion of ETSI EN 300 328 during this group's
meeting in LA I reviewed the document's latest version 1.9.1. Clause
4.3.2.5.2.2.2 defines the so called "Extended CCA" that fits to the
802.11 backoff procedure. EN 300 328 requires the channel to be
observed for "a random duration in the range between 18 µs and at
least 160 µs." That fits with standard DCF. However, MSDUs transmitted
within AC_VO of an 802.11e compliant STA use a random interval of

    AIFS (AC_VO) + 0 × aSifs = 34 µs
    AIFS (AC_VO) + 7 × aSifs = 97 µs

So this doesn't fit into EN 300 328 requirements. Would it be
advisable to change EN 300 328 therefore?

Best regards,

Guido
