Hi Marc and all,
I have a question regarding the prepared motion 2014-07-SanDiego-04, which includes a proposed resolution to adopt changes being made in 11-14-0813r1. To be more specific, my question is regarding to one specific change being made to Table 10-16 as the proposed resolution for CID 5199.
The comment CID 5199 was that since Query AP List ANQP-element is bidirectional, AP List Response ANQP-element should be bidirectional. So, the proposed resolution is to make AP List Response ANQP-element bidirectional as well. But what is the reason that Query AP List ANQP-element is bidirectional in the first place? Can an AP send a Query AP List ANQP-element to a non-AP STA? It appears that there is no such text in subclause 10.25.3.2.11 to support such a case.
So, it appears to me that the correct resolution should be making changes in the row of Query AP List (changing "T,R" to "R" for AP and changing "T,R" to "T" for Non-AP STA), not in the row of AP List Response.
Am I missing something? Thank you.
