Re: [STDS-802-11-TGAI] Comment Resolutions

  Hi Mark,

I realize this must seem extremely unfair to you but as was explained at
the time this last came up there's "what we can do", "what we are allowed
to do", and "what we should do". Basically we're allowed to remove
anything but it's not always a good idea because of a multitude of factors.
Those factors depend on the size of the change as well as the point the
group is in the document development process. So based on that moving
scale what person A wants to do at point X may be deemed "something we
don't want to do" while what person B wants to do at pointY may be deemed
"something we can do".

As we have seen, even the most trivial issue, like changing a naming convention,
can result in unacceptable document churn and delay.

Err, I thought we were not allowed to remove anything from the draft, on

the basis that D1.0 had been approved for ballot by TGai?

  Hi George,

I object to the resolution for CID 7252. There are no clients that use this information to

select a network and there is no reason why any clients will in the future. Apps don't

care what their IP address is and expecting APs to be configured with that sort of information

is  a false hope. Your examples on why this might be needed (as we have discussed) are

completely contrived and unrealistic.

You have a complicated solution to a non-problem. That is justification to remove this stuff.
