Re: [STDS-802-11-TGAI] Comment Resolutions

Another piece of advice Mark. You do not endear yourself to the comment
resolution committee when you do things like CID 6630 from Letter Ballot 204:

Comment: "This is a geeky comment"
  Proposed resolution: "Innit?"

Hello Adrian,

Thanks for this clarification.  However, the resolution to comment

6297 on D3.0, namely:

If FILS is about initial link setup, then why does there need to be any discussion of SA caching?

was:

reject: the TG voted in this text and disagree about its importance.

Here, "the TG voted in this text" refers to the fact that the text

was in D1.0 or D2.0 (can't remember which), which was approved by

TGai to go out for ballot.  So it seems the rejection was spurious.

Hello All,

The task group can change anything they like in their draft for any reason that the task group determines.

So if the task group wants to get to D4.0 and re-write their

draft amendment,  they can do so – even if they are not

addressing a comment requesting such a change.

Of course,  such a course is not necessarily wise.

Best Regards,

Err, I thought we were not allowed to remove anything from the draft, on

the basis that D1.0 had been approved for ballot by TGai?

  Hi George,

I object to the resolution for CID 7252. There are no clients that use this information to

select a network and there is no reason why any clients will in the future. Apps don't

care what their IP address is and expecting APs to be configured with that sort of information

is  a false hope. Your examples on why this might be needed (as we have discussed) are

completely contrived and unrealistic.

You have a complicated solution to a non-problem. That is justification to remove this stuff.
