Hello Jianhan,

Many thanks for your email.

主题: two issues on your proposed parser for (242+484)+996 in 11be

Hi Dandan,

We read your uploaded “new parser” proposal (“11-20-0604-00-00be-new-parser-discussion-in-11be” and you proposed the following parser:

For M-RU (242+484)+996,

Ø  Separate tone mapper for RU242 and RU484

Ø  They propose the parser for 3 RUs with ratio: 1s:2s:4s

Besides the architecture change needed by your proposed parser (different structure from 11ax), we also found out two issues about the parser you proposed.

Firstly, we find out that it violates the following passed straw polls:

[Dandan]: Hello Jianhan, thanks for your reminder. The two SPs did not pass unanimously and SPs are not the motion.

Do you support joint interleaving for RU and aggregated RU size <=80 MHz?

[Dandan]: SP Results: Yes 38/No 9/ Abstain 11/ No answer 7

Do you agree with the following LDPC tone mapper scheme for multi-RU aggregation in 11be?

For aggregated RUs and PPDU BW larger than 80MHz, separate LDPC tone mapper is applied in each 80MHz segment.

[Dandan]: SP Results: Yes 44/No 8/ Abstain 9/ No answer 10

Secondly, we simulate the performance and find out its performance is worse than the proportional round robin parser. You can see that  proportional  round robin (the red curve) is slightly better than the parser you proposed (the green curve).

[Dandan]: Thanks again Jianhan for provided simulation results. Yes, the performance of the PRR (3s:4s) with MCS 7 has 0.07dB gain than (1s:2s:4s).While the performance of the PRR(1s:2s) with MCS 9 has 0.06dB gain than that of joint tone mapper in the RU484+242 cases with the same PktLen [which was shown in your previous email]. So the performance gap of the joint parser and separated parser with the PRR is quite minor, especially with more antennas.

With the RU parser I proposed in my contribution for RU242+484+996, we can 1) Reuse the proposed new RU parser in 11be; 2) Do not need to use joint tone mapper for RU242+484; 3) Different RU[when RU>=242-tone] can use different MCS [open windows for future wifi feature].

Thanks,

Jianhan
