Hi Guogang,
Thanks for the explanation.
The Association Request frame first comes with a notification of sending the specific frame. OK. I think it makes sense.
Best regards, tomo From: huangguogang <huangguogang1@xxxxxxxxxx>
Hi tomo, Thanks for your discussion. I need to clarify that this frame is sent by non-AP MLD after successful association. In the Association Request frame, some signaling needs to be carried to indicate this
association is tentative. Then the AP will know that it is allowed to send DS-STA-NoTIFY.request only after successfully receiving a specific frame. Best Regards Guogang Huang 发件人:

Allow me to jump in.
If it is a QoS Null frame or a normal data frame, the target AP won’t understand
it’s for special purpose, i.e., tentative association.
So, before the (re)association, the AP will discard, it won’t it?
Best regards, tomo From: huangguogang <huangguogang1@xxxxxxxxxx>
Hi Jay Yang, Thanks for your discussion. The specific frame is TBD. It can be QoS Null frame or normal uplink data frame.
It’s target AP.

Hi Guogang, Could you explain when the specific frame is sent out? Which’s the triggered AP here? Current AP or target AP? Thanks Best Regards Jay Yang From: huangguogang <huangguogang1@xxxxxxxxxx>
Hi all,
I have uploaded a new version of DCN834. Based on the off-line discussion, I prepare to run a high-level straw poll. The text is shown as below. If you have any concern or suggestion,
please let me know.

Do you support to define tentative (re)association operation in 11be R2?
–
NOTE. For the tentative (re)association operation, the non-AP MLD needs to proactively send a specific frame to trigger AP sending
DS-STA-NOTIFY.request primitive to the DS, rather than
AP automatically sending
this primitive after successful (re)association.
