Re: [STDS-802-11-TGBN] Call for Nominations for TGbn Ad-Hoc (PHY/MAC) Chairs

Dear Alfred and TGbn team,

I’d like to nominate Tianyu Wu for the PHY ad-hoc Chair of 802.11bn.

Tianyu has actively participated in IEEE 802.11 working groups for over 13 years, and was recognized for his outstanding contributions to IEEE 802.11ac, 802.11ax, 802.11az, 802.11be, and 802.11bk, etc.

In the past 4 years, Tianyu has served as the TGbe PHY ad hoc chair. His excellent work in this position, together with TGbe chairs and other ad hoc chairs, has ensured TGbe delivers high quality specification drafts in a timely manner.

I am confident that, with his exceptional technical expertise and leadership skills, Tianyu can continue his fantastic service to IEEE 802.11 as TGbn PHY ad hoc chair, if elected,

Best Regards,

Yong

Dear all,

As agreed during the November plenary, TGbn will have 2 ad-hocs (PHY and MAC) and each of these ad-hocs will have 3 ad-hoc chairs.
The plan is to conduct elections for ad-hoc chairs during the January 2024 meeting.
If you would like to nominate someone (or yourself) for any of these positions please respond to this call for nomination by January 15th 2024 until PM1 session. The final call for ad-hoc chairs candidates is expected to be during the Monday PM1 Joint TGbn session and elections expected during the Monday PM2 Joint TGbn session.

Best Regards,

Alfred
