Hi, I would like encourage the people provide more inputs to convince us why using the same PTK can improve the roaming performance especially when the non-AP MLD can negotiate a new PTKSA with the one
or more target AP MLDs over-the DS in advance by using the FT mechanism. For the roaming AP MLD, we also want to the people who insists on the roaming AP MLD with the same PTK provide more input to explain why the PTK can be shared among AP MLDs. If the PTK can be shared
among AP MLDs, it is equivalent to say the current FT key architecture developed by 11r is not useful at all. Compared with the network architecture considered by 11r, what’s the new change which allows the PTK can be shared? Another point of view I can provide is: if the PTK can be shared, it means the current PTK derivation bounded with the itself MAC address doesn’t make any sense.
