Re: [STDS-802-11-TGBN] 答复: [STDS-802-11-TGBN] PDT-MAC-NPCA

Gwangho,

I am not certain what you mean by "channel allocations"

There are a couple of possibilities:

a. the channel that is to be used for NPCA operation

This is defined in a motion, as quoted below, and this is communicated by the AP to the non-AP STAs.

An AP that is capable of Non-Primary Channel Access (NPCA) announces at most one NPCA Primary channel

NPCA Primary channel is in AP's BSS operating channel width

NPCA Primary channel is not a punctured 20 MHz subchannel (as indicated in EHT Operation element)

       Details on signaling is TBD

[Motion #130, [1]]

The motion says that the AP "announces" this channel - the specifics of that announcement are not given in the motion, so there is some editing license taken to create a field in a frame to convey the information.

See: NPCA Operation Information field

Are you commenting on that?

b. RU allocations per STA that are indicated in for example, a DL MU PPDU transmitted by the AP during NPCA operation

In this case, there is nothing specific in the motions but there is also nothing stated in the text, other than the restrictions given in M164 and reflected in the text of item h)
Are you simply asking to have some text to cover this case?
If so, as you note, there is not motion that would allow the inclusion of such text.

Can you be more specific, by for example, providing a couple of sentences of proposed text?

Hi Matthew,

I have a question on r20.

In pdt-mac-npca r20, the channel allocations in the corresponding band are assumed to be known to STAs for NPCA primary channel switching conditions a) and b).  However, there is no related text regarding the channel allocations in the passed NPCA motion text. Is there any specific reason why STAs are assumed to be aware of the channel allocations? Since there is a case that STAs are not aware of the channel allocations in the corresponding band, this scenario also needs to be addressed. What is your opinion on this?

Best regards,
Gwangho
