Thanks for sharing AP ID assignment PDT.
I’ve attached the doc with my comments. Please review it and reflect my comments if they are valid.
In short, though AP ID is similar to AID, but it is difficult to directly refer to section 9.4.1.8 as it is.
Therefore, I propose adding separate wording in Sections 9.6.7.55a/b (MAPC Request/Response frame format) and 37.8.1.3.2 (AP ID assignment) as follows:
“The AP ID field allocated to initiator AP or responder AP is in the ranging 1 to 2047. The 8 MSBs of the APID field are reserved.”
In addition, we need to further think about the condition that AP ID should be reserved.

I have some comments:
l This AP ID case needs to be added in 9.4.1.8 (AID field).
l For the 3rd bullet under 37.8.1.3.2 AP ID assignment, the AP needs to be clarified that it is an assigning AP.
Something like, “An assigning AP shall ensure that the AP ID value is not assigned by itself or by its affiliated MLD ….”
l In the last bullet under 9.6.7.55b MAPC Response frame format, “The responder AP doesn’t assigns an AP ID to the initiator AP.” à “When an AP ID is not assigned in an MAPC Response frame.”
