It should be possible to arrange a pick-up and transport to Cambridge for less than $200. The firm I use costs $170. A taxi trip take 1:45. It is possible to get there via public transport – Heathrow to King’s Cross by underground (via Padington on the express if you like),
then train to Cambridge station. This will cost you £40-ish and typically takes 3 hours. The cheapest option is a coach (nationalexpress.com), which seems to leave every hour from Heathrow to Cambridge city centre, and costs about £28 and takes between 2:30 and 3:00 hours. I have paid $1670 from Fort Lauderdale via Newark. I am staying a weekend but I did not choose the cheapest flight, I chose the more convenient
ones. The taxes out of Heathrow are expensive though, over $200. Graham From: ***** IEEE stds-802-11-tgm List ***** [mailto:STDS-802-11-TGM@xxxxxxxx]

Hello Mark, It’s a function of the short notice and short trip. If you extend your trip to cover a weekend, cost will drop by ~$800. Anybody else just getting around to booking this now? I’m not sure if there’s something going on that makes this week so popular, but I’m not finding
any airfare much less than $2000… Mark From: *** IEEE stds-802-11 List *** [mailto:STDS-802-11@xxxxxxxx]
