[STDS-802-11] Who is plaaning to attend the CMMW interim in Beijing? Who needs an invitation letter for visa application? Response requested

Dear 802.11,

 

In brief, 802.11 is moving toward the formation of a new task group (TGaj) spawned by China’s CWPAN group and  the 802.11 China millimeter wave (CMMW) study group .  TGaj will begin working on an amendment to TGad to address unique spectrum allocations in 60GHz and 40GHz bands in China and also Qlink requirements.

 

We expect the task group to be officially authorized by the Standards Board to conduct  business at the end of August.

The new TG is planning to convene its first task group meeting in Beijing September 26 & 27, 2012. Details for the meeting are being placed in the 802.11 website under the Future Sessions tab.

To assist in preparations for the meeting PLEASE review and respond to the following two questions as soon as possible:

 

1.      If you plan to attend the September 26 & 27 meeting in Beijing please indicate per the options immediately below.(I don’t need any response if you will not attend)

2.      Depending upon your country of origin you may need a China visa to enter the county. If you need to apply for a visa and need an invitation letter please indicate. Each invitation letter will be individually addressed to the requestor.
