--- This message came from the IEEE 802.11 Working Group Reflector ---
The 802.11 PAR AdHoc met today to review the
responses received from the other WGs.
During that process, there was feedback offered to
802.21 and 802.22.
The full comment and responses are located
here:
For the 802.21 feedback, Subir attended the 802.11
PAR mtg today, and has the feedback about some suggested changes to the Scope
statement for 802.21.1 (drop "IEEE 802 (R)" and correctly name the 802.22
standard).
For 802.22, the feedback:
We would suggest that the following Sentence be
deleted
?The beacon may also be used for applications such as
search and rescue amongst others. ? from the PAR Scope
statement.
The rationale is that this leaves the PAR Scope too broad I will be presenting the PAR review activity
results during the 802.11 Closing plenary on Friday.
Leadership representatives of 802.21 and 802.22 may
want to be on hand to answer any questions that may arise during the
presentation.
Regards,
Jon
802.11 First Vice-chair
