MEETING ANNOUCEMENT

IEEE 802 Plenary Session ? March 2013

Orlando, FL USA

December 14, 2012

The March 2013 IEEE 802 Plenary Session will take place March 17-22, 2013 at the Caribe Royale Resort & Convention Center in Orlando, Florida USA.

Participating IEEE-802 Working Groups: 802.1, 802.3, 802.11, 802.15, 802.16, 802.18, 802.19, 802.21, 802.22, 802.24 and EC SG OmniRAN.

IETF#86 will also take place at the Caribe Royale Resort & Convention Center in Orlando, Florida USA during the prior week. The IETF Session dates are March 10-15, 2013.

We encourage IEEE 802 and IETF participants to consider registering for both events in order to take advantage of this excellent opportunity to learn more about each group.

IEEE 802 Plenary Registration Fees & Deadlines:

Early: Before 6pm Pacific Time, Friday, January 25, 2013

(UTC Time: 2am Saturday, January 26, 2013)

$500 US for attendees staying at the Caribe Royale or Buena Vista Suites
$800 US for all others (including local attendees not staying at the group hotel)

Standard: After Early Registration and before 6pm Pacific Time, Friday March 8, 2013

(UTC Time: 2am Saturday, March 9, 2013)

$600 US for attendees staying at the Grand Hyatt San Antonio
$900 US for all others (including local attendees not staying at the group hotel)

Late/On-site: After 6pm Pacific Time, Friday March 8, 2013

(UTC Time: 2am Saturday, March 9, 2013)

$800 US for attendees staying at the Grand Hyatt San Antonio
$1100 US for all others (including local attendees not staying at the group hotel)

Registration Policy:

Session Registration: Registration is available through a secure website and requires a valid credit card for the payment of the registration fee; checks are NOT accepted for web-registration.

Any individual who attends any part of a meeting that is a scheduled part of an 802 Plenary Session must register for the full session.

Session registrations are not transferable to another individual or to another plenary session.

If you register for an IEEE 802 Plenary session and then are unable to attend, you must request cancellation of your registration before the cancellation deadline to be eligible for a refund of all or part of the fees paid.

After you have Registered for the Session, Registration Cancellation Requests and Visa Invitation Requests may be submitted via a link on the event website at: http://802world.org/plenary

Cancellation & Refund Policy:

In order to obtain a refund of all or part of the fees paid you must request cancellation of your registration before the late cancellation deadline.

Group Hotel Registration Discount Policy:

The November 2012 IEEE 802 Plenary Registration Fee will be discounted by $300 US for attendees booking and staying one or more nights at IEEE-802 contracted hotel: Caribe Royale or Buena Vista Suites.

Attendees who elect to share accommodations must ensure that all members of the rooming party are listed on the hotel register before arrival (or upon check-in at the hotel) so that the hotel can verify their hotel stay. Please note: payment of the $300 US surcharge will be required onsite if the hotel cannot verify an attendee?s hotel stay.

IEEE 802 Plenary Session Group Hotel Rates:

EXTRA ADULTS:

Extra Adults (>2) are an additional $20/Night (plus applicable taxes).

CHILDREN (21 years or less):

May share their parents? room for No Additional Charge.

HOTEL CANCELLATION POLICY:

No penalty if cancelled prior to 6 PM Orlando Time on Date of Arrival.

EXTENDED DATES: March 1^st through March 31^st, 2013

Subject only to availability the IEEE 802 Group Rate is available March 1^st through March 31^st, 2013.

SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY: * The Group Rate is subject to the availability of rooms in the IEEE 802 Group Room Block. If the block is sold out before the deadline date (February 16, 2013), the rate may no longer be available.

PLEASE NOTE: Many North American schools participate in a Spring Break period in the month of March. Please be sure to book your travel plans at your earliest opportunity to ensure you receive the best prices and options for your trip.
