To answer Minho’s question – no, we don’t generally get separate study group reflectors. The logic behind this is: 1. Study groups are short lived 2. Their discussions during the formative stage of their work is probably of interest to most members
If we get a lot of traffic and a bunch of people who are not interested find this distracting, We can set up a separate reflector.
If anybody feels strongly on this point, I suggest that you raise it for discussion during a Geneva 802.11 plenary meeting.
Best Regards,
Adrian P STEPHENS

--- This message came from the IEEE 802.11 Working Group Reflector --- Hi Osama,
As I mentioned at the previous call, I’ll prepare a presentation “HEW usage models on backhaul and factory automation”.
By the way, haven’t we had a HEW-dedicated e-mail reflector yet?
Best Regards,
Minho

--- This message came from the IEEE 802.11 Working Group Reflector --- Hello All,
The Geneva meeting is fast approaching. Please let me know if you are planning a submission to the HEW SG.
Information on following subjects will assist us in creating a PAR and 5 Criteria: – Market needs, applications, usage scenarios – Technology & feasibility • MAC efficiency evaluation and enhancements, including evaluation of 11n MAC with higher PHY rates • PHY enhancements to 11ac • new MAC & PHY technology – Requirements • metrics (i.e. throughput, network capacity, spectral efficiency, range, etc) • coexistence / interoperability – Spectrum availability & regulatory options
