--- This message came from the IEEE 802.11 Working Group Reflector ---_______________________________________________________________________________Hi Vinko,
Correct. It can be seen that most of HEW usage models especially among high density STAs deployment have 0.5~1.0 users / m2.
Maybe in many cases, devices is not likely to have LOS link to AP for those usage models.
Thanks.

Minho

Hi. Minho, do you mean that people are standing next too each other so that there is human blockage?
Thanks,
Vinko..

Subject: Questions on HEW channel modeling issues
Hi Vinko and Shahrnaz,
Thanks for your introductory presentation on channel model today.
Could I ask some question on HEW outdoor channel modeling as follows?
- Is there any mismatch problem if we simply apply the cellular-based outdoor channel models to the HEW outdoor environments, in most of which so many people are populated within a very limited area (over than 0.5 person / m^2)?
- Even though it’s 5GHz band (not millimeter wave), I have some doubt on whether we may need to additionally define side effects such as human body blockage due to too high density of deployment or not.
Thanks a lot.
Best Regards,
Minho
