Dear 802.11,

I just arrived in the conference hotel. The following should help reduce your travel difficulties.

Also attached is an address card with both English and Chinese. You’ll want to have a hard copy to show the driver if you don’t speak Mandarin.

Note that your destination is

Zhongshan Hotel and Jiangsu Conference Center 307 Zhongshan Road.

Note there is another hotel called the Nanjing Zhongshan Hotel at 200 Zhongshan Road (the wrong one)

My taxi driver had some difficulty finding the hotel as it is set back from the main road does not have an entrance directly on Zhongshan Road.

You will probably see the Conference Center advertised more prominently than the hotel.

I estimate time from leaving the airport in a taxi to having a room at just over 1 hour.

The main building at the main entrance contains all the conference rooms and some of the guest rooms.

Others are in nearby buildings A and B.

Power at the room desk 200V from an outlet set with options for 2 pin Euro, three tab Australian and 2 tab American/Japanese.

Power in the bathroom is a combination of 2 pin Euro, and 2 tab American/Japanese both 120V & 240V.

I’d suggest you bring some combination of adapters if you need to plug in more than one device at a time.
